My Ghost

It comes to me like a ghost in the night
It's silhouette its only evidence of presence
No solid form I can hold on tight
Nothing at all for me to sense

I feel my way to the unknown
Trying to see with all my might
Yet bewildered I am thrown
The way to the being out of sight

Beyond the darkness I feel his existence
A beacon showing my way
To catch a glimpse of his actual form
I must travel and go his way

I move along the paths that was lit
The beacon leading my path
Unable to take my eyes off the light
I continue on with feverish determination

Onward I go leaving behind a barren heart
Looking forward to what's instored
The being who haunts my thoughts will
Soon Reveal his true identity and occupy the once guarded fort

With anticipation, my heart races
As the journey nears its end
The last few steps and paces
I slow down to a cadence blend

With all the rhythmic noise combine
My hearts' pounding, my steps as I walk by

The impetuousness nearing its fulfillment
There you are, my nightly ghost
The man those haunted me thus far
Now the picture has been painted
The ghostly figure has found its form
It is you my dear, whose plagued my dreams
Whose figure only comes in to manifest my days
Unable to decipher who you are
Now I know, my dear, love is not at all that far
