Last and First Days!

Last Friday was my final day at BGR. It was a bitter sweet feeling but I could not wait to get out of there for good. By 11:30, I have said my goodbye's to everyone that actually mattered and I left the office by 12:15. I met up with my friend Joseph for lunch and chit chatted. I learned more of the shady dealings behind the scenes at my now former employers and was quite happy with the decision. Yes, I'm still a little anxious about not having anything but I think slowly, everyone's (it's going to be great and change is good for you) is sinking in. It's getting old though when people keep asking what I'm doing next but I'm quite happy to say that I'm taking a break from work for a little bit and am hopeful that all will be revealed to me as time goes and I'm more relaxed. Seriously, Sunday night I had this dread that I was going back to BGR when it dawned on me that I will not be waking up at 5:30am and going to a place that I do not want to be at. I definitely had a sigh of relief once I came to and sunk in....I'm not going back! Yaay! So, a celebration came afterwards.

I drove home, called a whole bunch of people. Apparently my excitement was coming through the phone conversation for they all told me that I was giddy. Ha! You would be if you're leaving behind something awful. So, I went to my mom's work to hang. After which, I went to my friend Chanelle's house to teach her to sign a song that she is having her children's choir sing. I was pretty much useless since I can't remember signs anymore...*sigh* but at least the chorus was done. Then, my phone rings and it's my greatest pal Mel from college. She's my little brother at APO so I was totally ecstatic, though she gave me some awful news...she's being shipped to Iraq at the end of October. But since she's in Tampa, we can visit when I go down for my cousin's birthday. It's going to be great. I'm quite excited. After the little gathering at the Hardy's, I met up with Cara and Jesse to watch Wimbeldon and chugged down a pitcher (1 for the 3 of us) of margarita. Yummy! The evening ended early but we were all pooped. But we all celebrated new beginnings so it was great.

The next day...well, that was pretty interesting...I need to write that tomorrow. There is a time limit here at the library (yes, I'm at the library...I'm waiting for my new computer to arrive and it has yet to be delivered). But once I get it, I'll write about Saturday evening. Let me leave you this one thought. Stripper! HA!
