Lessons Learned

Everyday seems to be a bountiful source of life lessons. Recently, I've found that it takes a lot of patience to attain something and the unexpected want when attained is even sweeter than when you wait for it.

As I have posted in my last blog, I have finally received my PADI open water scuba diving certification. Thanks to my brother --and my instructors: Mel, Casedy (sp?), and Boy. Who, I have to say are very good at what they do. Not only did they make the classes fun, they made it memorable. Mel, having found Nemo for us on our last check-out dive (Whee hoo!) and saving our butts (Ate Tricia almost slamming into a bunch of coral and got yanked just in time for her keister to be saved...having not mastered our buoyancy on our first dive). Not to mention pointing out (and occasionally having us touch)some other sea creatures that we all wanted to see.

Another lesson learned is that it's not bad to pamper yourself once in a while and splurge on something that you love. I for example, during my last vacation had a facial, went to the spa for some reflexology, got my hair done, weekly manicure and pedicure, had multiple massage sessions, and I splurge on jewelry. Ahhhh, a girl's total dream. I also went on a shopping' spree with "some" control. But really, there was hardly any. It was great. I bought stuff that I think I would eventually need and I also took the liberty to work on my accessory use.

I'll add more stories as I get more time to write.
