long lost and forgotten
abandoned and frightened
my soul in search of a perch
unable to settle in the bitter cold

the empty almost barren land i wandered
aimlessly searching
disoriented with the vastness of nothingness
bewildered of what could be

amidst all hopelessness
the light of dawn comes
it shines on a path hidden by the blackness
showing the way to salvation, at last!
