Lately, I'm realizing how silly things can be when you've given yourself time to get out from the middle of things. Allowing yourself to look from outside in gives you a very different perspective. It may not change how you feel about things but it would at least help you dull it down a bit.
It makes you a stronger person I think. Makes you wonder why you felt this way or that. Or think why you'd let a person you hardly know affect your state of mind in such a way that confuses you. Helps you learn to manage your expectations and see past the bruised ego to realize everything around the one mess is actually wonderful. Thus making you appreciate and value the beautiful even more --like making new friends, making old friendship bonds even stronger, touching base to other old friends you haven't spoken to in such a long time, the tranquility of rain, the warmth of sunshines, etc. etc. etc.
Its amazing how much standing on top of your table makes you see so many more things than when you keep sitting down. I'm picturing the ending of "Dead Poet's Society." Carpe Diem!!! That's a good motto to keep in mind. Not to mention Let Bygones be Bygones.
I am free at last . . .
