feet meet stink?

It's the eve of my trip to the great paradise called Hawaii. I should, logically, be excited about it but honestly, I'm feeling quite the contrary. Not that I'm not appreciative of the fun in the sun but for the last 3 weeks, I've been working so much to make up for the 6 days of non-work, that I am exhausted. I guess it's good that I'm going away for the week to rest and recoop for another long haul in the capitalist world we live in. It's what, 11:00 pm and I have only begun packing. How sad ... although it thrills me that my hybernating flip-flops are now being awakened for use. My feet would be thrilled. I sure love them. We ought to have them instituted into the work world so that our feet (especially us women) would appreciate the comfort rather than suffer with the kickass looking stilhetto's that pinch the pinky on your feet and inevitably make it numb the rest of the day. I hate that feeling. It's totally uncouth to take off your shoes at work but I've been tempted so many times to do so and my toes are non-too happy that I never do. I guess now, they'll at least try to forgive me since they'll be free to roam and no longer stink as they sink themselves into the warm sand. Yaay!

Well, goodnight friends. I have 6 hours to pack. Mom and dad wants to leave at 5:30 for my 9:00 am flight. Ouch! Not fun. oooh, I need to sync up my iPod so I have lovely tunes for the ride. ....I'm soooo not looking forward to that. Oh well. I'll have me, my tunes, some coffee (or lately tea), and a good reading (maybe some work reading for a bit and then a good story book). Lovely.

Hey linagirl- I had to comment on this one. For the love of all things good in the world: Take Your Shoes Off at Work if You Want!!!! I do, trust. Of course, I do have my own office:-) But anyway, you don't want to be in my current predicament: the beginnings of a bunyan on my left foot. Fortunately, it's not ugly, but MAN does it hurt. Women everywhere, be cute when you're NOT sitting at your desk.

Smooches (btw, i think you're familiar with this nickname, but if not, it's your jr and sr year college neighbor)
