I was driving along I-270 right before the HOV and all access roads split when the car in front of me suddently decided to hit its breaks and wham! I hit him. I looked at my rear view mirror and saw the SUV behind me rushing in and doing its best to stop before another crash. I braised myself for another impact that never happened though it was a close call. I was partially relieved. I of course then put on my hazards and pulled over onto the left side. I saw the red dodge neon put on their hazards as well, logically I thought they're pulling over but kept on going. I then thought, maybe they're going to stop at the right hand side. So I slowly merged into the oncoming traffic to try and get to the other side of the highway. I went as far as the end of the HOV ramp and then stoped. The car was long gone. Why would they not stop? Is it because they do not have insurance? Is it because they've had so many accidents before that they didn't want this on their record? Is it because they're carrying illegal drugs and would not want the police to be on the scene? Who knows? The fact is, they're gone and I'm left all decrepid at the side of the road to take care of things.
I immediately called my insurance company asking them some advise on what to do next. They had me call the police. I hung up the phone to call 911. They then transferred me to the state police. They're not very nice. They placed me on hold for so many times and rudely talked to someone else while I was waiting --not even trying to mute the line or anything. I could hear them talk. Granted, they maybe they're talking about something important by gosh...try at least to be mindful that you have a person on the other line who just got into a traumatizing event. I also have this feeling that the Sgt. who took my call was the same guy who pulled me over a year ago for speeding. Ugh! Oh well. They gave me a police report number and so I proceeded to call back my insurance company. I gave her all the information I have --which is close to nothing and I got home.
I was pumped up earlier today to go to the gym and now, I'm all bummed out so my motivation to work out has been snuffed out. I still have time to decide if I want to go so we'll see. Jane called if I wanted to have dinner but I'm really not in the mood for that.
Oh, as a last note, today is the second day I'm on Strattera. We'll see if things would improve in my ADHD world.

regardless of the reason the person didn't stop, it's definitely better for you. even though they stopped short, it would be determined that you were at fault. it's nice not to be sued for hospital bills too. but that wicked sucks about your car. auto accidents might be my LEAST FAVORITE THING IN THE WORLD.
I'm finding that out now. Oh well. Shit happens. Thank God for insurance. Though I know my premiums would go up...which sucks as well. I'm healthy. I'm renting a kickass SUV and my car will be a happy camper once it's been fixed.
