Everybody's Normal Until you Get to Know them

Oh what a mouthful that title is but it's quite true. This book (by John Ortberg)my friend Ralph has passed on to me, and in turn, I passed it on to my other friend Jane --is making profound impact on those who read them. Jane and I have shared this very book to all of our friends...mentioning it and not the actual loaning of the book. But anyway, the book states that we are all flawed and that we need to embrace our flaws because these very quirks that we embody make us who we are, unique individuals. Mr. Ortberg eloquently stated that we are like the "irregular" tagged clothing in a store and are sold for cheap. It's clearly marked as "flawed" but you still buy it as is however, no neon sign would say where the flaw is. Same as "irregular," you have to take everyone "as is" for all of us are flawed. No one is perfect. As much as we try to be, we just can't. Even very gifted people have flaws. As my friends and I always say, "something's gotta give" however, putting these flaws aside, we embrace each individual for who they are and love them --including all quirks and imperfections and see as uniqueness that makes us fun to be with.

As people who try and read my blogs (all maybe 3 of you) you know that I've been soul searching and trying to figure out what to do with my life. I'm still soul searching, and I've come to believe it will be a lifetime of adventures and the search never really ends, we never grow if we stop. I've been crazing books just like this one. I'm ending this because my train of thought has now disappeared. I keep getting interrupted. Oh well...
