i see this. . .

[ i walk into the building and looked around. a little awkward and humble. i smile at everyone that passes by as i walk towards the booth the associate producer is leading me to. when the "on air" sign went off to go to commercial, i was excorted into the sound booth where "haber and erin" work their popular morning show. i sit down and still a little bashful. see, i'm a huge fan of their show. as the "on air" sign went on, and JC the producer signals us to talk, i started laughing...and asked "can i just say something before we start the interview?" this took haber by surprise for he has not introduced me. and so finally, he did and gestured me to go on. "i love your show," i said. "i go to moremusic104.com when i'm on the road and i need a connection home to hear you guys make jokes and the banter....whoa! funny!" they were extatic of course. and i continued "i used to commute from germantown to college park and i listen to you guys. it amuses me. keeps me sane from the wacko drivers of the washington metro area." they started laughing and then thanked me. and so the interview started. afterwhich, they asked me to puck up my guitar and sing a song or two. two of course...the second though, i asked haber to sing with me since i knew he used to sing accapella. it was really really fun. we actually exchanged numbers so we can go out for happy hour later on.

so that was one memorable interview. i was pleased. i left the building with a smile. it's one of the many wonderful things i do when i'm touring. meeting fun people, those you admire, those you didn't think you would meet at all. it is great. i'm glad i was lead into this road. ]

full of glee and joy

full of hope and surrounded with things i enjoy

the moment i've worked hard for

so it's a dream that everyone dreams
when one is successful, happy, and content
surrounded by people who love, care, and nurture
enveloped by safety and good future

but it all starts when you dream
the ultimate fantasy that you want to attain
with a little sweat and perseverance
the dream will come true to you too

but hope and pray that it's the road to take
the right goal, and journey you have to partake
without this in mind you will be frustrated
that your dream's not coming true

and so one thought i give to you
do your best, dream, pray
then when it's meant for you to attain
it will be yours, yes it will, yes it will. . . .
