back through the roads of mt. pinatubo
i saw what i can do for you
to lift up the life extinguished by ashes
by fire, by flood, by poverty it seems

i sing a song to my fellow
raising hope the nation's many
the suffering blokes, the ailing gals
and the children roaming about the roads

i sing a song to my fellow
to bring to light what exists
and shed the curtain in front of our eyes
so steps can be made to lift up their lives

i sing a song to my fellow
in hopes that something can be done
to reach those who can make a difference
and give aid to the suffering and end all dissidence

i sing a song to my fellow
a melody away to your ear
and hear the cries of my people
that things can be done without fear

and so i sing
a pied piper i will be
to bring enlightenment to others
and hope to the rest of thee
i will sing, sing it loud
i dedicate this song to my fellow
